Monthly Letter
The energies are preparing new ground for the season to come. Winter is a time of rest and contemplation. It is a time to educate oneself, plan, prepare, and conserve one's energy for focused concentration on future goals.
The year the snake is still shedding its skin. There is still more to do! When snake goes through this process, it is called ecdysis. I like that word. This allows growth, healing, and the removal of parasites. I like that too!
Like snake, you are going through your own healing, growth, and removal of parasites. And not just physical parasites, I'm talking the metaphorical ones. Whatever those "parasites" represent to you.
So what does this represent to you? How has snake changed your life?
Winter is a time to reflect on everything that has happened. To give yourself a big pat on the back for everything you've been through and survived, like the Phoenix transformed! And those who thought they would break you and your spirit are now going through their own transformation.
Better late than never!
If you look at the stages of a snake's shedding, it's quite prolific. The eyes, at first dull and blue, take up to 4 to 7 days to clear. Those of you who know me know I love numerology. When those two numbers add up together, you get the number 11. Spiritually, it all has meaning.
Young snakes shed every 4 to 6 weeks, and adult snakes shed 4 to 12 times a year. Sometimes the old skin stays in patches, because of poor husbandry. The snake lacks the proper moisture and humidity within its environment.
How is your environment? Is it keeping old things attached to you, skins that you no longer wish to wear? Skins that are no longer a part of your new life process?
Like snake, we lose sight for a time in order to ignite our inner eyes. We need to see the hidden mysteries, to see what we are afraid to open our eyes to, to see the truth about our own spiritual process, life process, and environment.
It may seem to snakes enemies that they are blind during this transition, but the truth is, their senses are heightened; they are preparing to strike.
I don't follow the Chinese new year, but I do love how Snake has shown itself to me. The snake has been significant in my life, much longer than one lunar cycle. Snake is one of my many totems and has been teaching me its medicine for the past 8 years. I'm sure many of you feel the same with all that has occurred in the past decade. Of course it's different for everyone.
Where snake has brought healing, shadow work, releasing, and shedding...enter the red horse, or fire horse, which ignites! This is your powerhouse energy! This is the thing that will be let loose upon the world! Your biggest glow up yet.
February 17th begins the year of the horse, where you will finally put all of your dreams into action. It's time for personal growth and major breakthroughs; finally, having the energy to act! If you have been feeling stagnant or stuck, please realize that you're not. You were just preparing the new ground, readying yourself for the big adventure ahead.
After this period of cleansing, purging, and stillness, you are free to move forward in the energy of the fire horse. Think of a horse for a moment, think of the power of this totem. Horse symbolizes freedom, power, movement, and fierce vitality. It's the embodiment of the untamed spirit, the feral, wild, free to be me spirit!
You're letting yourself go, you're freeing yourself up to the beauty of possibility. You're ready for new adventures, new quests, and challenges that don't derail progress - but ignite it.
Also, horses can be very intuitive. With wisdom and pure intellect, this energy will guide you to observe your situations before acting on them. When you do act, it will be ferocious. They won't see you coming.
It is with sheer force and determination that you will pursue every dream and make it a reality. It doesn't matter what form it comes in or how it comes to you, you will just be accepting it and enjoying the ride!
The Native Americans believe that horse is a bridge to the spirit world. You are connecting with your higher self, your authentic self! You are living a life of purpose, and you know the way.
***A key note about karmics and karmic cycles: We are done with your games. We're getting off you're crazy ferris wheel because we have s*** to do! You can't hurt us or harm us anymore. We are protected from on high and nothing you do will derail our trajectory. If you continue to try, all you will do is bring harm to yourself and lose the lesson, having to repeat the cycle. You've been warned!***
